The Argentine
This week has been full of traveling for me because I went and picked up my new companion from Neuquén! I have lots of pictures and a few videos from the trip I wanted to send but this computer is not recognizing my camera. Thursday morning our mission president was in town to do interviews with the missionaries here in Comodoro and after I rode with him and the Assistants back to Neuquén. We stayed the night in a city call Trelew with some other missionaries and then got up and kept driving. We got to Neuquén around 4 in the afternoon Friday. I worked a little with the office elders and then the 4 new missionaries (all 4 from the states) got there Friday night. Saturday we had all the new missionary meetings and trainers meetings and found out who would be companions with who. My new companion is Elder Gutierez from Ontario California (south California) His parents are mexican but haven’t spoke spanish with him since he was 4 so he has to learn the language just like the rest of us poor guy... He is so awesome!! He is hilarious and really wants to work! Maybe getting delayed in the MTC makes missionaries want to work harder? Our bus back to Comodoro didn’t leave till 10:15 Saturday night so me and him got to work a little in Neuquén. I dont know that area at all or anyone in it we went contacting for 4 hours. It was fun but we didnt get to teach anyone. One lady did give us a loaf of bread because she felt bad for us walking around in the cold. That was nice! We got back to Comodoro around 1:30 sunday afternoon. We got to talk to the waiter on the bus a little about the gospel because he told us he was interested in what we do. (he has probably seen many missionaries traveling)
Thats about all thats happened this week. Tuesday and Wednesday I was in a trio working in another area. I am so glad my companion has finally got here because for the last two weeks I have just felt like a burden to everyone. Im so excited to train. So far my companion just does everything I say! Its Great! Love ya All!!
