Familia!
Hey it’s me! "another week has flown by and its time to write again" :)
The mission is full of crazy experiences! Sometimes I think to myself, is this really happening? I really have liked having Carlos as my companion. I make all the decisions! What more could a guy want? But it’s a lot of pressure. I think it has helped me out a ton. I feel a Little more ready to train now, but just a Little more. Carlos starts school again today so he leaves me tonight. A Hermano from the Ward volunteered to go with me for tonight but after that I am again without companion and will join two other missionaries until my new companion arrives. We are hoping this week but still don’t know. Now that I think about it, I have had complications with arranging companionships since the MTC. I like the changes.
Remember how I told you Carlos´ house was robbed while he was with me? I felt so bad for the poor guy. He got robbed because he was staying with me 24/7 and we would only stop by his house once a day to feed his dogs. After he got robbed his sister (who is practically his mom) gave him a pretty extreme lecture about how she told him not to go on the mini mission until his mom got back from Buenos Aires and could watch the house. I had to be there and listen to the whole lecture (after all, he is my companion. I felt bad for him. But I will admit, hearing an argument in Spanish is pretty cool I hope I can talk good enough to do that some day:) His sister told us that he had to stay in the house at night. I thought I was going to be without companion again but I got permission from president and just slept at his house (sleepover every night!!!) So things were going good again until Thursday when his Brother in law came over to the house to fix things up and gave him another lecture. That was when I thought things couldn’t get any worse. Do all new converts get tested so much?? At one point Carlos said “why did God let that happen” I didn’t know what to tell the guy. I wondered the same thing… But now I know!!! Now that all that is past I have seen some huge changes in Carlos. He has an amazing testimony now and shares it with everyone! I love it!
The Ibañez family I told you about is going good. The last lesson they told me I’m not doing the missionary work right. I was a Little taken back. They said they have had tons of missionaries come and teach them but I wasn’t keeping the rules like all the rest. They called me different! The lesson went great though! We put dates for all the family to get baptized the first of September.
Sorry no pictures this week, computer problems and little time.
Love you all tons!
