Hey Fam!

This week has been crazy!

Yes I did get the birthday videos and loved them! Dang how the family is growing!!!

So my new companion never came... Sad day. Monday I got my letter from the president that I was going to be training and it had all the trip information and everything and I was so excited! Then I got a phone call and I knew something was wrong when I saw President on the caller ID. The poor guy that is suppose to be my companion is having visa problems. Ha! I know how he feels. They think he will get here in two weeks or so. We started looking around right away for a mini missionary to be my companion. After getting denied by several priests in the stake I called my recent convert, Carlos and he was more than happy to be my companion. Yup :) since Tuesday night I have had a member of less than 3 weeks as my companion. I pictured us being like Alma and Amulek right after Amulek´s conversion but truth is it’s been pretty tough and tiring. He doesn’t teach exactly quite like Amulek did. It’s a big load but he had been really excited about the work all week long which has really helped. I love the guy. He has had a really rough life and hardly any school and is so humble! I feel so bad though because just yesterday his house was robbed. I don’t know how many robbing stories I have heard about in this city but it happens all the time. They took the tv, radio, gas heater, and even the fridge! I felt so bad when we found the house... He took it really well though. It only made him want to work harder to find more people to bring unto God.

He has had several chances to bare his testimony since he has been with me and I have loved every one of them! It’s so awesome because he is always just like, ya I was baptized 3 weeks ago and it was great! Haha. With one family that has been reading from the book of mormon and prayed, he asked them how they had felt and then told them how it was for him. It was sweet! We also were at an Adventist family´s house and they were like attacking Carlos because he was a missionary without having read much from the bible and he just bore his testimony that he knew the church was true because he had prayed and received an answer. Boo Ya!

It has been our third week in a row without a single investigator at church. That is so depressing! We have gone to almost every member family’s house though and have had really good lessons with them. One chico did bring a friend to church this week though, which we have an appointment Tuesday with.

I’m learning so much here in this area. Lots of missionaries don’t like staying in the same area for a long time but I have been here almost 5 months and Love it! Thanks for everything! Love ya!
