Hey Fam!!

Pictures of Me and Carlos, Me and my new companion Elder Gutierrez the day we met and then the bus ride, Kids at our english class, E.N.G.L.I.S.H. made with candy wrappers from the english class. Let me know if you can see these ones.

So first week with my new companion has gone well. Not quite like I imagined but good and full of lots of learning. I think I kinda had forgotten what it is like to first get here from the United States. My companion has taken it hard but is already changing fast for the better. Its so awesome being a trainer! but hard. My companion knows a lot of words in spanish but doesn’t know a lot of the grammar and I love hearing him talk because even though he doesn’t say a lot of stuff right, he has a way strong testimony! He comes from a ruff life in Ontario California which is close to Los Angeles. The thing he says is hardest for him is the rejection (maybe it wasn’t a good idea to take him straight contacting for 3 hours his first day?) He said in the MTC everyone always talks about how many people you are going to baptize and all the amazing stories that always happen especially in "South America" and then he got here and we have only got in one house when looking for new investigators and it turned out bad in the end anyways. I think its good for us. It definitely makes us work harder to have success and come up with new ideas and also makes the success we have all the better. We did have five investigators and 2 inactive members come to church yesterday though. That was awesome. The young men/ young women class was doubled. Its crazy how much I have learned from him. I do like the chance to be a trainer. Its a lot of work. I have definitely learned a lot for Elder Gutierrez. Well, from all my companions. They have all been so different!

We do have a lot of investigators getting ready for baptism. 4 now have dates to be baptize the 4th of September. We would have a few more than that if all these people didn’t have to get married.

I have had my last battle with Adventists (the church that worships on Saturday.) There are some here that I have known for about 4 months now and we have become real good friends. I have even went to there church once. Last night we had our last bible battle. Haha its true! It doesn’t work! Fighting fire with fire is not my kind of battle. I showed them every single reason in the bible, that shows that the Sabbath changed to Sunday but they had something to counter everything! They are so good! It made me realize that I cant convince anyone, only God can. Its so obvious I know but that’s what I learned.

Thanks for all the advice and love. Nothing helps me more than the support from you guys. I miss you! Love ya!!
