Argentine Soy Yo
¡Hola!
Picture of me in front of a map of the Patagonia (the bottom desert part of Argentina which just so happens to be almost exactly the boundaries of our mission). I don’t know how well you can see it but the part I’m pointing at is Roca the area I’m in now. It’s represented by the fruit trees on the map. If you can see the guy skiing on the left side of the map, that’s Bariloche, my first area. The windmills, about the middle of the map, represent Comodoro, my second area. My third area Trelew is represented by the sheep almost directly behind the middle of my arm. I might end here in Roca being only my fourth area. I would be very happy with that. The next picture is me and my companion at 6:45 in the morning making a bread delivery to the seminary students, I will tell more about that in the letter. The next one is me and my comp at our zone conference lunch. The last picture is of us gringo missionaries that watched conference in English.
Heck yes I loved conference!!! Yes we got to hear it in english but we didn’t get to see the priesthood session :( I don’t know which talk was my favorite. It was just an overall mix of amazing talks. I feel so good after listening to the whole conference! There were a few specific questions I had answered but mostly I just feel overall uplifted. I have gained a great appreciation of the church leaders here in the mission. They really are directed by God himself!!
No McCoy still hasn’t written me. I will try and write him. I want to hear how it’s like being home!
To answer your other question mom, yes my companion and I are zone leaders. All zone leaders are a companionship in the mission, I don’t know if that’s how it is everywhere.
Dad you are right. I have been getting a lot of blessings lately, lots of success. My companion has been pretty sick this week so that’s been kind of a trial. One of the coolest families we have been blessed to find is the Prado family. They are the ones that work at the Bread store. Last night we challenged them to be baptized the 30th of April and they accepted. They always hook us up with so many bread goodies!! The picture is of a nice batch they gave us. They told us we could share with the seminary kids so we made a special delivery early in the morning.
Another cool family we have been teaching off and on for a while now gave us the not going to progress speech this week. But there is still hope! It came down to the dad doesn’t know how he can believe Joseph Smith was a prophet (It took us a while to figure that out but that’s what it boiled down too, it took a lot of listening!) After finally finding that out we explained that he only has to know if the book of mormon is true and to put it to the test. He said he would give it a try and let us know if anything happens.
We also have like 3 part member families with kids we are teaching. I think I’m better with teaching kids.
Talk to ya next week. Love ya all!!!
Elder Tryon
