Well hello
Hey fam!!!
Ok, the pictures are of our P-day from last week. We got together and hiked to that big Indian. Before we went there we took pictures at the Big Apple (fruit is very big here hehe). The picture of me and the water balloons are from a Pday a few weeks ago when we had a water balloon fight! That was sweet. The other picture is of me holding a big sausage thing called a chorizo. It’s kind of like a sausage and way good (just don’t ask what it’s made of). Normally they aren’t so big but the guy made it special for us.
We got a little better with attendance at church, but just a little. We had nobody show up for church until the last 15 minutes, and then one of our investigators arrived. I was so excited! After church ended another arrived. I guess he was making good use of the phrase "better late than never." It made me happy.
This week was pretty ruff too, but… we had a miracle! We found a guy named Martin on Tuesday (that alone is saying something that we found someone, that is). It was a great first lesson because we actually got to teach the whole entire lesson (that is also rare). When we came back on Friday he was actually there waiting for us (even more rare). He had read the chapter we left, and had read a little extra and even looked for a place where he could buy a Book of Mormon because we had told him we would lend it to him. We invited him to be baptized and he accepted. We had a great next lesson but at the end he let us know that he would be moving in the next week or so and it will no longer be in our area. I was like NOOOO!!!! but I’m still really grateful for the miracle that God blessed us with, for letting us participate.
Something else that was pretty cool was that we found a family of 5! a mom and four kids. Missionaries had taught them before but stopped. In the meantime, when the missionaries weren’t teaching them, they realized what they were missing and were extra excited to have us back! me too :)
Oh, I started an English class last Saturday. I had 6 students the first Saturday and 3 the second Saturday. I hope to have a lot more this next time. I love teaching English. My favorite part is listening to them pronounce words in English and hearing them complain about how weird English is, haha I just laugh and tell them how weird Spanish is.
Love ya all!! Oh tomorrow we have a meeting with Elder Aidukaitis again! Wish us luck!!
