Yup it’s me :)

Familia!

Well it’s been another fantastic week in the mission! We got called for transfers last night and I’m staying here with my Son and as district leader. It will be my 5th transfer here so I will have 7.5 months at least before leaving here and I’m way excited to stay one more transfer. We have lots of potential that I hope to see turn into success this transfer.

Training is definitely still full of experiences. It really makes me think sometimes what it will be like someday to be a real dad and also what it was like for you mom and dad. I think I am learning tons more, really fast because, well I have to do so much more.

We did have a few let-downs this week as far as investigators. The Peña family that we did the family home evening with last week and that all went to church on Sunday with have hit a big dip in their progress. On Wednesday we had an appointment with them and when we got there the dad (the only one that is a member) answered the door and very rudely told us we couldn’t come in that day because they had visitors. Then he walked outside with us and told us his problem in kind of a yelling way. It made me feel very sad :( but the problem is he has a small drinking problem (which we already knew about) and after church on Sunday he said when he started to drink he just felt horrible. So he doesn’t want us to come back because he doesn’t want to stop drinking yet and he doesn’t want to feel horrible about it. There is still hope though, we will see. The daughter is still really excited about the church.

One of our other investigators gave us some bad/good news. She is a lady from Bolivia and we recently started teaching her. She read and prayed about the church and feels its true and wants to start going. The problem is that at the same time she was praying to know if the church is true, she was also praying to find a job. Well bless her heart she got both! and now she is only home once every 15 days making it very hard for us. It’s just one of Gods mysterious ways :)

Another problem is there has been a lot of weather changes and everyone is sick! Lots of our investigators, members, my companion and I was about to start but luckily started my horse pills before anything got to serious.

Pictures of me at the beach and the APS man just climbing up the pole right out our window.

Love you all! Elder Tryon
