El Misionero August 30, 2010
Hey fam!
Well, I got to spend my whole Pday in a meeting. It was actually pretty awesome. All missions are changing. No more of this sissy stuff. We are focusing on following the spirit 100%. It’s pretty sweet. The President is doing 3 day meetings with all the leaders and trainers of the whole mission. Ours started today.
Me and my companion did divisions again a couple times this week and I have to say the little guy makes me proud. He put a baptismal date with one of our investigators without me! Now we have 5 baptisms coming up on the 18th of September (that’s more than I have had my whole mission!) and then we have another one planned for the 25th.
In our English class on Saturday, we had 11 kids come. It was great! And afterwards the kinds were all playing ping pong and one at a time, I was giving them short piano lessons. This ward seems to be doing so much better. Even the two gossipers of the ward seem to be doing better.
Yesterday we did a "tsunami" in one of the areas in our district. 8 of us missionaries all went to the same area and went searching for new investigators. We did it for about 4 hours. I don’t know what my problem was, but me and the elder I went with didn’t get in a single house. We were out knocking doors for 4 hours. Everyone else got in. I hate knocking doors!
Thank you so much for the letters. Tell grandma that I weigh the same amount as her just in kilograms!
Love you all!
Elder Tryon
