Hey Fam!

Sounds like everyone had another busy week! Could you see the last pictures? and not just put them on the blog? I hope you can see them this week. The first one is us missionaries making pizza last P-day, then the baptism on Carlos!!! then me about to drink the Argentine famous maté.

The baptism went great Saturday. I was a little nervous being my first time to baptize someone. But it all ended good. When we got to the church in the morning to fill the baptismal font there was no water in the church building. At first I couldn’t believe it, No water again the day of the baptism! Kids started arriving for the english class so I couldn’t help get it fixed but my companion called some Hermanos from the ward and after about 45 minutes got it working. So we had water but since we didn’t get it on soon enough we had to open the cold water up also to fill it up in time. I would say the water was more cold than warm to me. It was funny because Carlos, after he came back up out of the water took a huge breath and everybody laughed.

One of the families we are teaching is the Peña family. The dad is a member but has been in-active for years. He is the one that walked to church with us last week. Well this week the daughter Celeste walked by herself to the english class, then came by herself to the baptism and even stayed for mutual after. On Sunday she came to church with her cousin. She asked me to teach her to play the piano. Here the notes instead of A B C D E F G are Do Re Mi Fa So La Si. Its a little confusing but she is learning fast.

Another family we are teaching is the Ibañez family. They have the same situation as the Peña family with the dad as a member and the rest of the family not. This family we also found tracting. Missionaries had taught them about 2 years ago and the family was about to get baptized. They were all going to church but the dad. When he finally came he was offended by an Hermano in the ward. We have a problem in our ward. This Hermano is the same one that reluctantly was going to help us get investigators to church last week. Him, his wife, and one other Hermano are the gossip/criticizers of the ward. I don’t know how many people don come to church because of them but it’s a lot. I don’t know which is worse. Getting offended or offending? I don’t know what to do.

The USA lost the soccer game against Ghana, NOOO!!!! I have never been into soccer before the mission but we get all the insights here from everyone. Argentina won yesterday against Mexico and the whole city just went nuts. People and cars all over the streets just yelling and honking and making noise. The country has become very unified to say the least. GO ARGENTINA!!

Love you all!

Elder Tryon
