And here is todays letter:
New Transfer Starts Today
¿Como están?
Hey new transfers start today! I’m way excited! My companion left yesterday at 4:00pm along with another missionary in our district that just finished and another left Saturday from our district. We are in a Trio waiting for our companions that will arrive Tuesday. Two at 5am and the other at 2pm. My companion is Elder Hanson (or something like that). A gringo from Oregon (I heard). He only has one transfer left so he will end with me like my last one. I’m hoping he is a hard worker, or at least willing to follow me. We will see :) I’m excited though because missionaries that are finishing their mission have so much knowledge! I learned that from my last companion. It’s like being with your grandpa! haha
We finished good and strong Elder Suárez and I. We had a baptism Saturday for Florencia Toconas. A 9 year old girl. Out of the 3 people I have helped baptize, 2 have been 9 year old girls. It’s fine with me because I love them! I confirmed her yesterday. I was so nervous! The baptism went great and my companion had the idea to make a type of scrapbook for her. We had everyone that went to the baptism write on little pieces of paper a congratulations. I’m going to put all those in the scrapbook. If only I had Rachelle´s scrapbooking skills...
This week we did a contact with a guy in the street and ended walking 20 minutes with the guy to his house talking with him. He is from Bolivia. Bolivianos are so humble!!! We taught him and his wife and set up an appointment to come back. He lives so far away and wasn’t there when we came back so we just started tracting the few houses there were that far away. We found a 24 year guy from Cordova Argentina. He is a member but less-active since almost forever. He came here to get away from the drug problem he had in Cordova. We invited him to the english class and the baptism. He ended coming to both, staying with us almost all day Saturday. I was just glad we actually did some good walking all the way out there!
I’m trying to send pictures but this computer isn’t recognizing my chip...
Man, I can’t believe Ammon is in Hungry already! Poor guy... haha I can’t even complain about learning Spanish, it’s a humbling experience though.
Tell me all about the cinders next time Rachelle and Dad :) Love you all!
Elder Tryon
