Hola

Dear Fam!

¡Felices Pascuas! (happy easter)

It’s starting to cool down here in the south, they say it gets pretty cold here in Roca but never snows, we’ll see.

This week was awesome, like usual full of trials and blessings (The pattern never ends does it?)

Let’s focus more on the blessings, shall we? :) First off we had 7 of the people we are teaching in church yesterday!! Woo, that was a sweet Easter present! 2nd off we got a chocolate Easter egg from the primary president! I guess she had enough for all the primary kids and a few extra and so obviously the missionaries are next in line to receive them (we work hard to gain that kind of confidence from the ward leaders! :)

Another blessing was Sunday night at 8:45. It was a hard decision because we were ending the week and way tired and our appointment and backup plans fell threw and we were close to home with only 15 minutes of work time left. What do you do? Well, we had our Easter egg present so we decided to try and give it away and get into a house. (just to let you know we never get into any houses near our apartment because it is a richer area) We decided to knock anyways and use the tactic of telling the people, “we’ll give you an Easter egg if you let us in your house to share a message”. The owners weren’t home in the first two houses but the third one someone came out and all we said was, “We have a gift” and they asked, “Do you want to come in?” It was a sweet new family! The mom is actually Buddhist (yes there are a few of them here in Argentina). She stopped believing in God when she was about 8 when she prayed her sick dad to get better and he died. We sang them a hymn and shared a short message and it was great! They said they hadn’t done anything for Easter and that we brought them lots of peace. SCORE!

This week we got the idea from an investigator to sweep leaves as service because there are leaves everywhere and it’s such a simple thing. The mornings are always hard to get lessons in anyways. So we started this week. My first time raking leaves in my life! haha I have seen it on the movies just never done it. Do leaves just not fall at our house? We haven’t had any outcome yet but we are going to keep doing it.

We went to the little town outside the city again to try and find some new people. People just don’t tell you no, it’s awesome! So we are going to see if we can get the church started out there. We talked to the 1st counselor in the ward and he was going to ask in the stake meeting to see what possibilities we have out there with getting the church started. That made us pretty excited but then something got us even more excited about the idea. We have this sweet investigator that is practically like our mom here, I love her!! She would already be baptized but she is waiting for the divorce papers of her husband from his previous marriage so that they can get married. It’s just complicated. But anyways, lately we have been working with her and her husband a lot and they are giving us references like crazy. Like she already has a strong testimony and invites all her neighbors and friends over to listen to us and she tells her experiences she had had with the church and it’s just awesome. But to top it all off when she found out we are going to start visiting that little town she told us she was practically raised in that town and has tons of friends out there! She asked us if we would be interested in talking to a group of them out there some day. I was like well... I guess we could make time for that, haha. S he is way awesome. We are definitely going to visit her when we come back here to Argentina.

Well got to go. The mission is awesome! Just have to be willing to pay the price. Love you all!!
