It’s me Monson October 4th, 2010
Well Hello My Fam
Pictures of my cotton sweater I washed in warm water (yes now it fits me like it should :D), My dog bite, goodbye photos with some families, and let me know if you can see the last one, A large part of it is my area. Its three photos attached in one, some cool feature with my new camera ^_^
Yes I am getting transferred today. After being here 7.5 months they have called me to serve as zone leader in the city Trelew. Its a lot smaller city than Comodoro and about 5 hours north I hear. I have been told its greener there. Its not by the ocean though. My companion will be Elder Savornin, a really cool missionary that was in my district in my first area in Bariloche. He is from Uruguay. I leave today at 4:00. I’m going to miss a lot of things here but also I’m way exited for these new opportunities!
General Conference was amazing! This is my second time watching general conference in this stake. The only place you can see general conference is at the stake center on the big projector screen. Us gringo elders had a separate room and TV in english that we watched it in. I didn’t get to see priesthood session though. 3 talks I really loved that stuck out to me were by President Uchtdorf, Elder Bednar and another guy that I don’t remember his name. I think it might have been the same one you liked mom. He talked about Parenting and I really liked it because I felt it applied to teaching investigators. I have to love them enough to be direct.
Yes I did get bit by a dog. But just a little dog that came from behind. It’s not the first time I’ve been bit but it’s the first time it has broken skin. I have been treating it well though.
This last week me and my companion had our best work week out of our whole time together even with almost two less days due to conference. We found 23 new investigators which is almost the most I have ever found my entire mission. Many of them are really great and it makes me sad to leave. There is so much potential here still!
Oh and one other thing, I don’t know if I had told you yet but we haven’t had gas in the apartment for 2.5 weeks because a pipe broke. This week it is suppose to be fixed. I didn’t realize how much we use the gas before but we don’t have hot watch, no stove and no heating. In all that time I have gotten myself to take one cold shower. Other than that I showered once on divisions and the rest just using the sink to shower. Its just one of those things that makes you thankful for what you have. (There are lots of things that happen in the mission that make me thankful for what I have, very thankful)
I love you all. Tell Rachelle not to play so much (I think she saw my example too much.) tell Grandma I love her very much!!
Elder Tryon
