Hey Family!
Sounds like you are all doing great! Even Rachelle! kinda scary... =) I got your letter mom about Comodoro and ya that is definitely this city. I didn’t know we had Welsh ancestors, that would be so awesome if I found some here! Thanks mom for the story, idk either how it’s suppose to help me but I liked it. Thanks also for sending Ammon’s letter, I feel bad for people that have to learn tuff languages because Spanish just about killed me. Well this week has been amazing! No need to worry about my companion because we are best buds. I really learn so much from him and he keeps the work fun and he has told me so many stories he has had. Our baptismal date fell through as for right now, yes our only baptism we were going to have… For some reason she told us she wants to get baptized in February? Ya, don’t ask me, but we are going to figure out what’s wrong. She didn’t come to church either. Ya and then after finding that out, today I read McCoy´s letter and he only had 7 baptisms last week! I’m just waiting for the fairness that they say comes in the next life. My scripture of the week is 2 Nephi 9:51 But all is good because we were on a role with finding new investigators this week! 36 to be exact. We did divisions with the zone leaders for a day and I stayed in the area and all we did was go finding. We found 26 in one day and taught 15 lessons! It was so awesome! That’s more than we usually have in a week! We used a new finding technique of just talking with the people outside and not mentioning anything religious and just gain their confidence and then ask to come in. It’s amazing how much nicer the people are inside their house! Yesterday we taught the most interested family I have ever seen! We found the mom a while back and after about 4 tries we finally got to teach the 2 of them. They are the Bulgarian family and have quite the story that they told us. They had twins, a boy and girl. The boy was definitely favored by the dad but died at 2 months old. So that is enough to make one think about the next life but it doesn’t stop there. The daughter is now 3 and about a year ago saw her twin brother. The parents and her were in bed when she saw him. She told her parents and they didn’t know what to do so they told her to tell her brother to go to bed because it was late. So she did then gave a kiss to both her parents and then one to the air (her brother) and then her eyes followed something out the door. They were pretty scared about that. They thought it might have been the devil. So what did we teach them? THE PLAN OF SALVATION of course. It was an amazing lesson. I don’t think I have ever been so attentively listened to. They said they would do whatever it took. I love all the cool things that happen on a mission! But it definitely has its price. Yesterday one of our less active families came to church that have a 9 year old that isn’t baptized.
Love, Elder Tryon
PS Dad if you have any suggestions on scripture memorizing, I would love to hear. Or how to keep them memorized.
