Hey look, I figured out how to send a message This new email is pretty cool,
I just have to get used to it.

This week has been a little ruff but I think we are doing better. This area is just so much harder for me. It’s really making me have to work! and study because it made me come up with many questions. But I think all my questions have been answered now, reading from the Book of Mormon.

There are just so many rumors here, false understanding and ignorant hating of us here. I don’t know if the members get it too but at least the missionaries do. EVERYBODY thinks we worship Joseph Smith. We hear so many lies about us, it drives me nuts. We even had a couple contacts tell us we sell drugs and don’t want to talk to drug dealers and left before we could say anything. This city (or at least our area that I know) is pretty religious. It made me start to think, how can so many people think they are saved in all the other churches, or why we are not convincing more of the truth. I received my answer in Alma 12:10&11. My other question was, what do we need to do as missionaries to be successful in this area. I received that answer in Alma 12:1 from the phrase "unfold the scriptures" and in Alma 21:15-17 (they followed the spirit to those that would receive them. Then this morning to top it off I read Alma 26:26-27 and my prayers have been answered . I started this week memorizing scriptures. My goal is one scripture mastery a day and so far it’s been going good. My other new goal is to not fight but to do all I can to be led by the spirit to those that are ready. I know we can have success in this area!

This week we did family home evenings with members of the church and have given to 3 different families Books of Mormon to pray about and give away. With one family, we played a game that my companion came up with, where we gave a different scripture from the bible to everyone and from that scripture they had to form a church and try to get everyone to join their church or prove to all the other churches that theirs is the true one. It was fun and hilarious because we used scriptures that if just read without any understanding of where they came from, can be very wrongly interpreted. We showed the family how confused the world can be without the Book of Mormon. Then we read 2 Nephi 28:3-4 (lots of churches will come saying they are the true church) then 1 Nephi 13:26 (bible having many plain and precious things taken) then 1Nephi 13:36-37 (book of mormon has the gospel and blessed are those that seek to bring forth zion) It was really a fun Family Home Evening.

We have also starting visiting a lot of less active members. Also we started helping a guy build his house. Today we are going to go buy a map of our area to help us. Yesterday I started playing piano for sacrament meetings. Also we had the bishop announce our english class time and day. We are trying all we can to have success in this area.

Mom can you send me some pictures of the family. All the members and my companions ask me to show them pictures but I don’t have any from home. Also are you still planning on sending the memory card so I can send you pictures? I sent two of the 3 question pages I received back with answers. I have to go. Thank you for your prayers and keep them up! I think I will be watching conference in Spanish, so my Spanish skills will be put to the test  Love you all!
