Thursday 9-3-09

Hola Familia!

Hopefully I will get to send this e-mail :) Another week has flown by at the MTC. Mostly routine. We heard a sweet devotional on Tuesday but someone in the second quorum of the 70. I actually liked his wife's talk better. She told the story of how her parents became members. It was pretty spiritual. Her parents were warned the missionaries were in her neighborhood and to stay inside and lock the door. Her dad was Scottish and said he would come inside when he was done working. The missionaries were led to her dad and asked if he had a minute to spare for a short message. He had pre-determined what he would say but when he turned around and looked at them he couldn't so he let them in. He said it was "the look in there eyes and the Spirit of the Lord." That was kind of the short version of the story, but when she said that line about the spirit, I just really got the chills. It was cool :).

Our English roommates left Wednesday morning. Kinda sad that we still have as much time left as they had here total. But we are back to our own room. We got to be host missionaries on Wednesday where we escort the new elders getting dropped off at the curb. That was pretty fun, but boy are those new guys in for a ride :)

I did get my box of garments but one of the shirts on the packing list wasn't in there, so I’m going to mail you the packing list and hopefully you can figure it out... Man dad you were running for almost 5 hours!! That just blows my mind! Becka is taking online class now Rachelle? You haven't influenced her on that did you? Could you e-mail me JC's address please? Love ya all so Much!!!
